I don't think you ever feel like you're out of the "killing zone". I know - statistics say 300 hours, but we're always hearing about 10000 hr ATPs buying it.
I have 350 hours now - still a newbie too.
Do you read ipilot.com? We have a good crowd over there - lot's of knowledge and fun.
